Version 0.1

I've been doing 2D Unity for quite a while and wanted to buff up my 3D. My kids got me into Fortnite of all things recently, so third person shooters were on my brain and thats why I decided to go with this type of project.

A couple of years ago I had a modeller(Zenuel twitter: https://twitter.com/PaleFeatherZen hit em up :D) model the Cyborg character you see ingame from my own design sheets. Request was for a PS1 style character and they did well to replicate that kinda MGS texture look. Anyway, I used that model because I usually like to have my own art in my projects and this is the closest I've got for 3D. For the rest of the models, I bought the Polygon Sci-fi City from Synty(https://syntystore.com/collections/frontpage/products/polygon-sci-fi-city) as it has a good range of weapons, character, props and city stuff.

I kicked off the learnings with Code Monkeys TPS Shooter tutorial and then moved somewhat randomly through things that were new and interesting to me. For example getting into Shader graph and VFX graph with Gabriel Aguiar Prod, ragdoll physics with Dapper Dino, lighting probes with Brackey and URP lighting guide by SyntyStudios. Plus other ones for tiny bits to sort out specific things. All of this on Youtube. So good!

I also ran into a weird issue. Split screen UI ends up getting the ui clipped by geometry thanks to depth culling or something. A quick work around was to work out how to adjust the render pipeline render ordering which I learnt from here:

Wish I had time to add music and sounds but I wanted to get a prototype up and ready quickly with things I was less familiar with. Next version I suppose.
